BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Ardencote Manor Hotel, Claverdon

This garden centre type dial is mounted on a modern cast-concrete ornamental circular-sectioned plinth, by a bridge to an island within the lake. It has aligned hour numerals IIII - XII - IIII - VIII, read from the outside, with a noon gap, with no hour lines or subdivisions. There is an eight-point compass star at the centre abelled with very small letters to NE etc. The motto at the south is ’Sunny Hours’. The gnomon is missing.
