BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The Old House, Dersingham

The dial occupies a walled-in first-floor window frame. It is all iron, painted dark grey, and stands proud of the white-painted section of wall. It has no hour lines or divisions. Arabic numerals formed from thick wire for 8am to 7pm are attached to an iron arc, and the gnomon is a square-sectioned rod supported only at its foot. The motto: ’RUIT HORA’ is inscribed on diagonal bars towards the botton of the iron frame, and the date ’2015’ is on the bar across the foot.
