BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Aldridge School, Aldridge

The dial is located at Southern side of the Campus, in a recreational area. It is made fron clay bricks and granite, set in resin-infused aggregate, with a vertical pillar painted white with black inscription, and two information lecterns. The major axis and lines to the eleven hour points are formed by imprinted clay bricks carring wording chosen by Fire Service cadets, Aldridge School, Cooper & Jordan School, St Mary of the Angels School, Walsall Studio School, and others. Poppies set in resin, designed by Mayfield, Leighswood and Aldridge Schools, and two specially-designed and sculpted clay block World War memorials, produced by a local artist, are set into the walkway. Roman hour numerals for 7am to 5pm are read from the inside. Dial delineation is by David Brown, all on-site work done locally. Ref: See BSS Bulletin article.
