BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

This dial is one of a pair, with SRN 5795 being on the other corner of the building. Mrs Gatty says that the motto across the top and the foot of the dial is ’Omnem crede diem tibi diluxisse supremam’ (Think every dawn of day to be thy last), though it is almost illegible now. The date 1719 is clear towards the base of the interior dial area, and there are other inscriptions above the date. Hour lines go from 3 to 11 am, using upright Roman numerals at alternating ends of the lines, with III, V, VII, IX down the left and IV, VI, VIII, X across the top and XI on the right. The hours are not subdivided.
