BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Norfolk

A modern dial with motto ’Let others tell of storms and showers, I’ll only count your sunny hours’, and false date 1797. It uses Arabic numerals for hours 4am to 8pm, read from the outside, with a noon gap, and divided to 30, 15 and 7.5 minutes. It has a smiling sun face in an 8-point compass rose labelled only to N, S, E, W.
