BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
The dial is in the SW corner of churchyard, to left of gate as you enter. Compass points and compass rose. Numerals are viewed from outside and include IIII. It stands on a plain cylindrical granite pillar estd 1000 high.
Burge claims the decoration is unusual: zig-zag lines with a rather ’Moorish’ look, and a compass rose comprised of arcs showing the cardinal points subordinate to the others. An eight-petalled flower appears in the centre. The gnomon is missing.
