BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
The dial is near the play area, on a slightly raised grassy area in the centre of a larger grassed area that is intended to form a ’compass’. There are 16 hour stones, for 6am to 9pm BST, with only VI, IX, XII, III, VI and IX marked.
