BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Cornwall

The dial stands on a plain white granite circular pillar by the side of the road by the Post Office and the nearby pub car park. It shows hours V - XII - IV - VII, read from inside, with a noon gap and divided to 30, 15 and 5 minutes. Hour lines run to a central 8-point compass rose, labelled to NE etc. On the south side is a curved EOT graph, and ’IN MEMORY OF JOHN DAVIDSON 1936-2005’. The gnomon is supported by a quarter sphere on each side. John Davidson was a master potter who worked at New Mills Pottery, Ladock.
