BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dorchester Abbey (3), Dorchester

The dial is in the herb garden to the north of the Abbey, on a white stone bottle plinth with a square top. It is the widely found Haddonstone dial with underslung gnomon, lengthy motto, compass rose and face in the centre of the dial plate. Information from web only.
