BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Physic Garden, Cowbridge

The dial is mounted on a stone wall in the garden and declines strongly to the west. Across the top is ’VIS MEDICATRIX NATURAE’. In small text in the top left of the chapter ring are the Lat and Long, and at the top right what looks like ’CMT’ (possibly the maker: not thought to be GMT). It has upright numerals IX - XII - IV - VII. Hour lines run to a circle around the gnomon but not centred on its root. Information is from web photos only. More information and photos requested.
