BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The dial is in the Rose Garden. It is a Gunning heliochronometer, Serial JPG131. The dial plate has decorative botanical patterns, and on the gnomon cross bar appears ’The seeds of today are the flowers of tomorrow’. EOT compensation is by an analemma scale on the gnomon. It has longitude adjustment for 7 degrees E or W of the meridian, set at -1.75 W, and adjustable latitude set at about 54 degrees. Instructions for reading are provided at base of dial.
