BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Emmanuel Church, Bungay

The dial is in the front garden to the right of the path, on a stone plinth of four engaged circular columns. The gnomon is pierced with three circular holes. The motto inside the chapter ring reads ’EX HOC MOMENTO PENDET AETERNITAS’ (with the ’AE’ conjoined). The dial shows hours IIII - XII - IIII - VIII, read from the inside, with a noon gap, and divided to 30, 15 and 5 minutes. There is floral ornamentation at the centre, and ribbon garlands surround the semi-circular corner fixing points.
