BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

London Wetlands Centre, Richmond

This Spot-On sundial is a memorial to Max Nicholson, and waa made by his son Piers. It is located outside the Peacock Tower, a 3-storey hide overlooking the old reservoirs beside the river. It is inscribed ’Max Nicholson / 1904-2003 / Max Nicholson’s contribution to nature conservation is beyond measure / The strength of today’s UK environmental movement is his legacy’. Hours are marked in Roman numerals for GMT and Arabic for BST, and are divided with 10-minute lines and 5-minute spots. There is another memorial to Nicholson at Sedbergh (SRN 5817).
