BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The dial is in the Fellows’ Garden, and the entrance to the gardens is off Queen’s Road, close to the junction with West Road. It is mounted on a square stone top plate on a circular sectioned baluster style plinth. The square top is engraved with the months in sequence, with an indication for each month ’Dial is Fast’, or ’Dial is Slow’. The dial plate is in good condition but the gnomon is missing. Aligned hours IIII - XII - IIII - VIII, read from outside, with split noon and divided to half and quarter hours. An 8-point compass rose around the gnomon root is labelled to NE etc. There is a motto ’Tyme Flyes’ at the south, and the northern half of the dial holds two wyvern birds.
