BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Leics & Rutland

The dial is in gardens to the NE of the house, standing on a circular sectioned baluster style plinth with an octagonal top. It is a garden centre dial with hours IIII - XII - IIII - VIII, subdivisions to 1/2, 1/4 and 1/8 hour, and split noon. The gnomon is fitted 180 deg out of alignment. The motto is ’A shadow round about my face, the sunny hours of day will trace’.
