BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St John the Baptist Church, Buckminster

This dial appeared to be fairly new when seen in 2017. It is rectangular, with a break-arch top, and a narrow wooden border all round. Painted light blue overall with white lettering and silver lines. Vertical Roman numerals VI - XII - IV - VI, with full hour and half-hour lines to a small horizontal silver area below the gnomon root, and chequered white/blue inside the chapter ring for quarter hours. In the break arch is ’SUCH IS LIFE’. The gnomon is a metal strip with a single straight strut support.
