BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Wellington Court, Kensington & Chelsea

This dial is situated on a south facing wall at third floor level in a block of apartments on the north side of Knightsbridge, near the junction with Old Brompton Road. It is just visible from the pavement outside. The material may be marble - the carving does not suggest slate. It is surrounded by a white pedimented stucco console, with honeysuckle motif in the pediment, and flower motif below. There is a gilded narrow strip gnomon supported by a slim simple spiralled rod. Upright gilded hour numerals VII - XII - IIII - VI, with no noon gap. Quarter hours are marked inside the chapter band, and half hour lines extend towards the centre with arrow terminals. The hour lines converge on a semicircle. The maker’s name is at the bottom right hand corner. The photo from 2012 was taken from the internal courtyard of the building, and shows the gnomon to be damaged. The other two photos are from the road, and were taken many years earlier.
