BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
This is an octagonal ’garden centre’ dial of pressed sheet metal, possibly copper. It is mounted over SRN 1516, which has lost its gnomon. It has hour numerals from IV - XII - VI (incorrectly for IV) - IV (for VI) - VIII, with no hour marks or subdivisions. Words seem to be impressed in a circle inside the chapter ring, but they are too indistinct to read. The toe of the gnomon is, unusually, at the centre of the dial.
