St Conan’s Kirk, Dalmally

An octagonal metal dial plate, which replaces an earlier dial from 1900. An intricate pierced sun gnomon. "R Drew Auchterarder fecit". Roman numerals from 5am to 7pm. Hour, half hour and quarter lines. "Lat 56 23". "Replaced by the family in memory of John and Elizabeth McLeod of Corries, Lochawe 1992". "The day dawns and the shadows flee away". Stone pedestal with a thick square table. Plaque on pedestal ’To the loved memory of Caroline Agnes Campbell of Blythswood. Erected by her son, General Douglas Campbell CB CVO August 1900’. Two steps up to pedestal.
