BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Borders Region

A simple horizontal octagonal dial situated in the centre of the walled garden. The dial plate does not look like the original as it does not fit exactly into the space allocated, although it could be that it has been moved slightly. Filigree gnomon. Roman numerals from 4am to 8pm outside the chapter ring. Central 8 point compass. Two word motto, no longer legible. Stone baluster pedestal with a square table.
