BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

This unusual dial has a glass plate and is designed to be read from below. It has a motto ’Lux Dei Lux Diei’, and bears the latitude and longitude, and the date ’MMXI’. It is delineated to Greenwich Solar time, with the north line indicating local solar noon marked at about 12:15pm. Hours VII - XII - III are given, and divided to quarter hours. The gnomon is a metal rod with a bow shaped support to the tip. Details are taken from the internet, and more info and photos are requested.
