BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Clearburn Natural Play and Picnic Area, New Lanark

A wooden dial set in grass, designed by Ms Kékesi, the landscape architect for the project. Hour markers in the form of circular stools, with carved numerals for 6am to 9pm in winter (GMT and with frosty surround), and 7am to 10pm for summer (BST, with flaming sun surround). The standing board is carved with month names, (Dec, Nov, Oct etc) and has a four-point compass rose at the top.
