BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Clwyd Area

The dial stands to the south east of the porch, on a plain circular cross sectioned column on a square base. The dial plate is heavily patinated, but appears to be signed, to have a split noon, and to bear an EOT scale. The gnomon is very fine, and identical to that at Erddig Hall (SRN 1878), which allows us to be confident that it is by Saunders. There was a major church restoration and refurbishment in 1770 - possibly the date of the dial?
