BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Lincolnshire

This octagonal dial is on the west face of King John’s Tower above first floor level. It appears to be a companion to SRN 7875, around the corner to the south, but is very different. It may have been installed to cover some remedial stonework on the tower - perhaps there was a clock there, or an earlier dial. It probably had painted lines. The gnomon is of the ’suppressed origin’ type.
