BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Clwyd Area

The dial stands in front of the main entrance on an unusual decorated pedestal. It was probably brought and installed here in 1930 when Clough Williams Ellis (of Port Meirion fame) did alterations and additions which changed the main façade of the house. Decorative scrolls at south, with signature between. ‘Nath Witham fecit’ at south; 8 compass points marked and named; Split noon; hours read from outside; 4 is IIII; 12 is XII.
