BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

All Saints’ Old Church, Great Steeping

The church, which is now unused, is situated down a long rural lane to the south of the village. The dial is fitted to the parapet wall on the south face of the church. It has upright Roman numerals for 6am to 6pm, with hour lines and deep holes marking the half hours. Initials TT are in a semcircle around the gnomon origin, with a possible date 174[?] at the upper right hand corner of the dial plate. The iron strip gnomon has a short straight support near the origin and a longer ’S’ shaped support for the middle.
