BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Lincolnshire

The dial stands in the churchyard on a large octagonal concrete top covering the font which was originally in St Edith’s Church, which was demolished in 1983. It is a modern ornamental dial with numerals IV - XII - IV - VIII, read from outside. There is an 8-point compass rose at the centre, labelled to NE etc, and a blank shield at the gnomon toe.
