BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Ivy Cottage, Marske

The dial is set into the stonework between two upper windows, above the front door, and canted out on the right to face south. The iron gnomon is a flat blade with pointed tip, with a single straight horizontal support. Some Roman numerals and some hour lines are still visible. Across the top at the right hand side is ’700’ - possibly from ’AD 1700’?
