BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Powys

Detail only available from the photographs. Art Nouveau style Arabic numerals 4am to 8pm, read from outside, with noon gap, divided to 30, 15, 7.5 and 5 minutes. Hour lines to compass circle around the gnomon root. The dial is on an octagonal stone plate with flatly chamfered edges, which in turn rests on an older stone pedestal. This is a square sectioned baluster carved with rams’ heads and floral motifs and has a block on the west side which may be a step for standing on to read the dial, suggesting that the whole may be larger than it at first appears. More information requested.
