BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Upton Cresset Hall, Bridgnorth

This is a cast garden centre type dial on a square sectioned stone pedestal some 600mm high, clearly much older than the dial. Four-point compass rose and a solid gnomon which is curved (probably by design) and appears to have been partly wrenched from the plate. Embossed furniture with blank shield and numerals IIII - XII - IIII - VIII, read from outside and divided to 30 and 15 minutes.
