BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Church Lane, Stanton

A cast ’garden centre’ dial but with a better gnomon than usual! Embossed aligned numerals IIII - XII - IIII - VIII, read from outside, with noon gap. No hour lines but divided to 30 and 15 minutes. Central embossed 8-point compass star labelled to NE etc. The dial is to the rear of the house, It is mounted (not horizontally) on a tapering square stone block about 300 high.
