The design uses three intersecting parallelograms to create a vertical and a horizontal dial in the one form. Design was by David Young and John Moir in 2007, and construction by Tony Moss in 2008. It stands on a square section stone pedestal with a square mount stone. It has been described as an armillary octahedron. Ref: BSS Bulletin 15(iii) Sept 2003, pp 122-124.
