BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Anne of Cleves House, Haverhill

The dial plate is formed of wooden boards with a beading surround. It is held in place with iron dog-nails, within an ornamented recess in the brickwork, high on the east face of the multiple chimney breast. Marks of seven declination lines are visible, as well as some hour lines and lettering to the lower right hand side, but not in detail. The gnomon is an iron strip with two support struts and a cross-bar nodus. The building was constructed in 1540 as a marriage settlement by Henry VIII to Anne of Cleves.
