BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Surrey

Motto around the edge ’ Seize the present moment, the evening hour is nigh’. Roman numerals read from the outside for 4am to 8pm with hour lines and half, quarter and eighth hour divisions. False date 1705 at the gnomon root. 8-point compass rose at the centre. The plinth is in the form of four tapering brackets; the top is now broken but originally formed a bird bath.
