BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Rawdon House, Hoddesdon

The dial is set into the brickwork at second floor window level, to the left hand side of a Dutch-style gable above the drive-through entrance. The chapter ring is an arc within the square dial plate, with upright numerals VI - XII - IIII - VII. Hour lines to a full radiant sun-face around the gnomon root, with shorter half hour lines and quarter hour marks. Cornucopia and floral decorations. Shaped iron rod gnomon with single right-angled side support. This part of the much older building was erected in 1879, as indicated on a nearby rainwater head.
