BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Michael and All Angels Church, Bassingham

The dial plate is set into the stonework of a crenellated parapet at the SE end of the south aisle. The gnomon is missing, with only the remains of a lower support. Upright incised and painted numerals VI - XII - IIII - VI with hour lines to a flaming sun around the gnomon root, and half hour lines and quarter hour marks. Inscribed along the upper edge ’W A 1718’.
