BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Clwyd Area

8 point compass rose marked N, NE, E, SE etc There is an inscription, not now legible, at the south. 4am to 8pm in Roman numerals; 4 is IIII; 12 is XII with split noon; read from inside, and divided to 30, 15 and 5 minutes. Gnomon style 150 long, with sigmoidal supporter. The dial is sunk into the top of a tall-necked baluster sandstone pedestal on a square block, set on large circular basal stone; 1060 from ground to dialplate. The mansion, park and gardens date from the late 18th/early 19th century, which would probably also be the date for the sundial.
