BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Coxwain’s Cottage, Thorpness

A painted wooden dial with the date across the top around a large flaming sun, both in gold. It is mounted between windows at first floor level. Upright numerals VIII - XII - IIII - VII, with hour lines to a large semicircle at the gnomon root, and short half and quarter hour lines. Four declination curves are marked but not labelled. There is a bar nodus, but it is in the same plane as the gnomon and hence does not throw a good shadow in the early afternoon.
