BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
The dial is above ground-floor windows in the right-hand end of the SE facing wall of the block. It is inscribed ’LAT 56 20 7 N Long 11 12 W’, longitude being shown as the time to add for GMT in minutes and seconds. Upright Arabic numerals for 4am to 4pm with ’+’ for noon. Hour lines to small semicircle around the gnomon root.
