BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Staffordshire

Roman numerals read from the inside, using IIII and XII, with noon gap. Divided to 30, 15 and 5 minutes, then uses transversals to read to minutes. Floral decoration in the chapter ring at the south; no compass rose. Narrow sandstone baluster pedestal. The dial was probably made for this garden, but is reported to have been moved within it. It may be contemporary with the early 18C garden screen by the Derby ironsmith Robert Bakewell.
