BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Wiltshire

The dial has a thin underslung gnomon, bearing a design possibly referencing wings, sun and moon. There is an incorrect gnomon gap at noon. Sun face at centre, surrounded by the motto ’Make time, save time, While time lasts All time is no time When time is past’. Roman numerals read from inside; subdivided to 30, 15 and 5 mins. Ornate baluster pedestal on octagonal base.
