BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Bosworth Field, Shenton

A large ground-level dial with hour lines but no divisions or numerals. The gnomon is in the form of a long halberd with a business-like end on which is held the crown of Richard III. The lower half of the gnomon is in-filled with a decorated sheet showing the Rose of the House of York. The dial commemorates the Battle of Bosworth Field where Richard died in 1485.
