Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Churchyard, Currie

An extremely detailed circular horizontal metal sundial on a moulded shaft with markings for around 50 places all over the world including Mecca, Baghdad, London and Mauritius. Part of gnomon remains. Includes months of the year. Roman numerals. "This dial calculated drawn and engraved by Robert Palmer Schoolmaster inscribed 1836" and other engravings. Made by Robert Palmer, schoolmaster of Currie for 40 years, whose gravestone is also in the churchyard, about 20 yards from his sundial. The sundial was gifted by him to the parishioners of Currie. Full details held in the archive.
