BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Bristol

The dial is placed within the pediment of the building to replace a clock. Motto ’A TEMPO’ around the top. Even hours only as Arabic numerals, 6am - 6pm, interspersed with sharps for a.m. odd hours, and flats for p.m. odd hours. Noon is shown as a double sharp, and half-hours as gilt dots. A bass clef and a treble clef fill spaces to left and right of the motto. Associated Equation of Time plaque in slate is on the wall below the dial.
