BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Isle of Arran Heritage Museum, Isle of Arran

Motto: ‘Guided by the Sun’. Roman numerals for 4am to 8pm to be read from outside, divided to 1/8 hours. Uses IIII and XII. Eight-point compass rose with labels. Although there is a noon gap in the outer rings of tick marks, there is no 12 noon hour line. Sandstone octagonal cross-section pedestal 860mm high, of unusual design, suggesting that it started life as something else. Circular top just larger than the dial plate but the rest is disproportionately large
