BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Chequers Inn, Ledsham

A well designed and made declining dial on the wall of the public house. The inscription is ’The Chequers Inn / Carpe Cerevisi’ (meaning roughly ’Enjoy the Beer’) and below that ’Stephen Holehan Sundial Maker MMXI’. At the top are the Lat and Long. The dial shows hours 9am to 7pm with upright Roman numerals using XII and IV. Declination curves for the solstices and equinox, labelled Mid Winter’s Day and Mid Summer’s Day, with the hour lines joined by half and quarter hour lines between them.
