BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Cornwall

A dark grey octagonal dial on a thick granite disc supported by a bulbous white stone pedestal 870 high. Inscribed ’More Majorum’ (In the manner of our ancestors), and bears the date MM and the Lat and Long. Shows BST corrected for longitude with hour numerals read from the north VI - XII - IIII - IX. An inset brass plaque to the north of the gnomon foot shows the EOT. A prestigious dial, designed and made by the owner, hand carved and constructed with attention to detail.
