BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
The dial, by Ben Jones, stands in a flowerbed in the circular lawn outside the entrance to the hall. It is formed in a smooth parabolic area cut from the corner of the rough stone, and has a solid gnomon. Upright Arabic numerals 8am to 6pm, though with hour lines for 7am to 8pm. Nature in Art is open throughout the year.
