BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Mary’s Church, Somersham

The dial, is mounted on the south wall of the chapel. It is of irregular shape, but inside a rough pediment is inscribed ’Challain- / la-Potherie’, the village in western France with which Somersham is twinned. Upright hours VI - XII - IV - VI. Hour lines to a semi-circle (not scribed) around the root of the rod gnomon, and no subdivisions.
