BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Oxfordshire

This fine square dial is mounted on a tall circular sectioned plinth on a four-stepped base, at the centre of the sunken gardens adjacent to the southern end of the manor. Numerals IIII - XII - IIII - VIII, from inside, with noon gap. Half hours have a floral head with three punched or drilled holes. 10-minute divisions numbered with Arabic numerals 10 - 60; two rings of 2-minute marks, off-set to give one-minute reading, and half-hour marks outside that, offset from the hour lines. At the centre a rose decoration with surrounding 16-point compass rose.
